So long 2011...

2012 is just around the corner.
Can you believe this year has gone already?  It's amazing.
God is so good!  He has blessed us beyond measure.
This year was a very good year.
Most of the goals that we had, were accomplished.
We had about 6 YMU's, in Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton and London.
Revolution was a blessing.
We won the Bible quizzing competition in Montreal.
We had prayer every week. Fasting once a month.. and Many more things. Praise JESUS!

It's bittersweet to see the year leave.. so many good memories.. yet so many amazing ones to come.
As we come to the end of this year.. I would like to share this Video of our Youth. Reminisce.. lol.

Who will you choose?

When you bow your head, do you do it humbly?
When you close your eyes, am I the only thing you see?
When you say “Jesus”, are you really just asking for me?
When you ask me to guide you, are you willing to listen attentively?
When you cry, are you really hurting inside?
When you ask to be moved,
are you willing to go in the direction I choose?
When you ask for forgiveness, are you willing to beg?

When you say “Lord, I love you”, is your heart truly mine?
When you get on your knees, am I the only thing you bow to?
When you praise me, is it through the good and the bad?
When your friends walk away, are you willing to stay behind?
When you worship me, do you receive my blessings whole heartedly?
When you promise me your life, do I have a guarantee?

Do I not deserve all this?
Me, your father and king.
My child, for I died to save you.
For I am a jealous Savior.
You shall have none other then me.
I will guide you.
I will love you.
I will save you,
And forgive you.
I will heal you,
And bless you endlessly.
For I am unconditionally your God.
And I shall not leave your side.
Now child of mine...

Will you choose to stay by mine?

The Power of ONE!

What if it all depended on me.
To change the world...
To change the world?
What if my only responsibility was to change the world.
To change the world?
Let me be the ONE.
To start a revolution.
Let me sing my song to the people of the
world. It all begins with...

ONE!!
THE POWER OF ONE.
JOINING THE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BELIEVING IN ONE.
THE POWER OF ONE.
DON’T HANG AROUND.
STAND UP OR SIT DOWN.
AND BELIEVE WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD TOGETHER
WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD TOGETHER FOR JESUS

What kind of love can conquer disease.
And change the world. And change the world?
Let me be the ONE. To start a revolution.
Let me sing my song to the people of the world.
To the children of the world.

It all begins with...
ONE.
THE POWER OF ONE.

-Isreal Houghton

Please don’t close your eyes
Please don't turn away. Let your voices rise.
Put Jesus on display. And make a difference now.
I believe you and me. Can make a difference now

God's Care

 1 The LORD is my shepherd;
         I shall not want.
 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
         He leads me beside the still waters.
 3 He restores my soul;
         He leads me in the paths of righteousness
         For His name’s sake.

 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
         I will fear no evil;
         For You are with me;
         Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
         You anoint my head with oil;
         My cup runs over

Psalm 23 (NKJ)

"God Never abandons anyone on whom He has set His love; Nor does Christ ever lose track of His sheep."  -J.I.Peter

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

Matthew 6:30 (NLT)

God cares for the world He created, from the rising of a nation to the falling of the sparrow.  Everything in the world lies under the watchful graze of His providential eyes, from the numbering of days of our life to the numbering of the hairs on our head.  When we look at the world from the perspective, it produces within us response of reverence. -Ken Gire

Desire To Be Beautiful...

Who as Lucifer?
Lucifer had a very special place of anointed ministry, and his primary function was being the covering cherub.  The cherubim, one of the angelic orders, seem to be particularly assigned the responsibility of guarding the glory of God.  (Psalms 80:1, Psalms 99:1, Isaiah 37:16)

In light of such honor that was bestowed upon him above all the other angels what could possibly have been the root of his rebellion?

 Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:....."

Vanity caused him to become so proud of his outward magnificence that it began to overshadow his relationship with his maker to the point of total rebellion. He was full of wisdom but his wisdom was corrupted by reason of his brilliance.....

..Honestly ask  yourself, "Why do we battle with uncut hair, dyed hair, make up, jewelry, and improper clothing?"  We value our appearance: therefore, we want to do all in our power to enhance it. Focusing on the desire to be beautiful and stand out will corrupt our wisdom and we will begin to value the paltry things of this world above our relationship with our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. If we begin to value our appearance above the law of God, spiritual anarchy will be born in our hearts...."

-Ruth Harvey, Power before the Throne.

The Fire of Your Heart..

Want to know God's will for you life?

Then answer this question:
What ignites your heart?

Forgotten orphans?
Untouched Nations?
The inner city?
 The outer limits?

Heed the fire within!!

Do you have a passion to sing?
THEN SING!

Are you stirred to manage?
THEN MANAGE

Do you ache for the ill?
THEN TREAT THEM!

Do you hurt for the lost?
THEN TEACH THEM!

As a young man I felt the call to preach.
Unsure if I was correct in my reading of God's will for me...
I sought the counsel of a minister, i admired.
"Don't preach," He said "unless you have to."
As I pondered those words I found my answer:
"I have to. If I don't, the fire will consume me."

What is the fire that consumes you?
-Max Lucado

Overflowing Praise

All enjoyment spontaneously overflows into praise...
The world rings with praise-loves praise their beloved,
Readers their favorite poet,
Walkers praising the countryside,
Players praising their favorite game..

Just as people spontaneously praise what they value,
So they spontaneously urge us to join them in praising it:
"Isn't she lovely?
Wasn't it glorious?,
Don't you think that was magnificent?..."

I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because
The praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment;
It is its appointed consummation.
-S.Lewis

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
         I will sing and give praise
  For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens,
         And Your truth unto the clouds.
 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
         Let Your glory be above all the earth
-Psalms 57:7, 10-11

God's pursuit of praise from us and
Our pursuit of pleasure in Him are one and
The same pursuit.
God's quest to be glorified and
Our quest to be satisfied reach their goal in
One experience:
Our delight in God which overflows in praise.

Let's Boast!

Yes let us boast about Jesus!!

We boast of temporal men and women who do what are considered great things, but do we boast of the One who saved us?

"I paint," cried Raphael.
"I build," was the boast of Michelangelo.
"I rule," cried Caesar.
"I write," Cried Homer.
"I conquer," creid Alexander.
"I seek and save," cried JESUS CHRIST.

He wrote a Book that cannot be burned,
banished or torn apart.
 It just keeps reappearing.
He conquered death, hell, and the grave!
He has no equal and cannot even be compared in the same breath with any man!
He is superior to all.
He is the great I AM,
The King of kings and the Lord of lords,
The Lord of Hosts,
The El Shaddai,
Jehovah Jireh;
He is the one True God!!
Yes let us boast of Him.

JESUS!

Condemnation Interferes with Intimacy.

My new favorite preaching.
Dr. Gerald Jeffers,
Condemnation Interferes with Intimacy.

John 3:17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him." (Amplified version)

For I am not ashamed...

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
1 Peter 2: 9

Where ever you go...
Where ever you are...
Represent God...
Don't be ashamed..
You are a chosen generation.
Let the love of God reflect in you..
and you will stand out...
Be the light in the darkness...

They were not ashamed..
And they were on national television...
Now that's representing Christ!!

A Fiery Sermon

A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending services regularly, stopped going. After a few weeks, the preacher decided to visit him. It was a chilly evening.. The preacher found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire... Guessing the reason for his preachers visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace and waited.

The preacher made himself at home but said nothing. In the grave silence, he contemplated the dance of the flames around the burning logs. After some minutes, the preacher took the fire tongs, carefully picked up a brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all alone then he sat back in his chair, still silent.

The host watched all this in quiet contemplation. As the one lone ember's flame flickered and diminished, there was a momentary glow and then its fire was no more.. Soon it was cold and dead. Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting. The preacher glanced at his watch and realized it was time to leave. He slowly stood up, picked up the cold, dead ember and placed it back in the middle of the fire. Immediately it began to glow, once more with the light and warmth of the burning coals around it.

As the preacher reached the door to leave, his host said with a tear running down his cheek, 'Thank you so much for your visit and especially for the fiery sermon. I will be back in church next Sunday.' We live in a world today, which tries to say too much with too little. Consequently, few listen. Sometimes the best sermons are the ones left unspoken.

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize
it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light...

The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love...

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

This is War!

Paul Washer unsheathes his sword and utters "This is war!"
The line has been drawn in the sand. Where will you stand?
 "  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;
and they loved not their lives unto death."
Revelation 12:11

Bury God's Name in Your Heart.

When you are confused about the future,
Go to you Jehovah-raah, your caring shepherd.
When you are anxious about provision,
Talk to Jehovah-jireh, The Lord who provides.
Are your challenges too great?
Seek help of Jehovah-Shalom, The Lord is peace.
Are your emotions week?
Jehovah-rophe, The Lord who heals you, will see you now.
Do you feel like a soldier stranded behind enemy lines?
Take refuge in Jehovah-nissi, The Lord my banner.

Meditating on the names of God remninds you of the character of God.
Take these names and bury them in your heart.

God is...
The shepherd who guides,
The Lord who provides,
The voice who brings peace in the storm,
The physician who heals the sick,
The banner that guides the soldier.
And most of all,
 HE..... IS!!

When God says NO!

(ATT: Tomorrow at 7:00pm.. is the first Youth service of the year... See you there!!!)

There are times when the one thing you want,
Is the one thing you never get...

All you want is an open door or an extra day or an answered prayer, for which you will be thankful.
And so you pray and wait.

No answer.

You pray and wait.

No answer

You pray and wait.

May I ask a very important question?
What if God says no?
What if your request is delayed or even denied?
When God says NO to you, how will you respond?
If God says "I've given you my grace, and that is enough,"
Will you be content?

 Content.
That's the word.
A state of heart in which you would be at peace if God gave you nothing more than he already has.
Test yourself with this question:
What if God's only gift to you were His grace to save you?
Would you be content?

You see from Heaven's prospective,
Grace is enough.

-Max Lucado.

You have to keep in mind that if God doesn't give it to you..
Then it's not for you.
Just like he won't give you a trial you can't handle..
He also won't give you a blessing you can't handle.
