Prayer: Day 5 | Thanksgiving and Praise |

These have previously been defined.

So you now know the 5 steps of Prayer.

1. Praise and Thanksgiving

2. Confession and forgivness

3. Intercession

4. Petition

5. Thanksgiving and Praise.

unlike at the beginning; you are going to Praise and Thank God for what he is going to do.

Rest assure that God has heard your prayer.

He may not respond at the exact moment but, my friends,..

GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME!

The LORD hath heard my supplication;

the LORD will receive my prayer

Psalms 6:9

Therefore I say unto you,

What things soever ye desire,

when ye pray,

believe that ye receive them,

and ye shall have them

Mark 11:24

Prayer: Day 4 | Petition |

A Petition is a solemn supplication or request to a superior authority (God)

You have praised and thanked Him...

Confessed your faults and asked for forgiveness..

and interceded for others.

Now you can pray for You!

Petition your needs.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,

by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,

present your requests to God.

(Phillipians 4:6 NIV)

So.. do all of the above.

Prayer: Day 3 | Intercession |

Intercessory prayer is not the same as prayers for yourself.

Intercession is praying with the real hope and real intent that God would step in..

and act for the positive advancement of  another person(s).

It is trusting God to act, even if it's not in the manner or timing we are expecting.

God wants us to ask, even urgently.

It is having a bit of God's passion burning in us.

Pray for someone else today. Intercede for them.
It can be for family, friends, church leaders, world leaders, and lost souls.
I can be anyone you feel a burden for.

The best gift anyone can give to another is to pray for him or her.

We live in a sinful world where bad things happen to people and people are tempted to sin.

Praying for another person not only helps that person find God in the midst of trouble,

but also helps us recognize the blessings that God gives us daily!

  "I urge, then, first of all, that requests,

prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone -

for kings and all those in authority,

that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth"

1 Timothy 2:1-5

Today we pray..

"And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."
Romans 8:27

PRAYER: Day 2 |Confession and Forgiveness|

Confession is admitting our misdeeds and faults.  

Yes we are humans and we make mistakes...but that can't always be your excuse.

Confess your sin to God, and ask him to forgive you.

So maybe your not living in Sin...

BUT... yes we all are sinners. 

 So..on a daily basis you should ask God to forgive you of any offence you may have caused him. 

Make sure you are in good terms of God.

You know what's so wonderful of our God?

Is that he is so merciful, he will listen, and forgive.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"

1John 1:9

"In whom we have redemption through his blood,

the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"

Ephesians 1:7

"It is possible for the Lord to look at us without seeing our sins because when he forgave us,

he removed our sins as far as the east is from the west"

Psalm 103:12.

So hold off on the asking.. one more time. 

Start off with Praising and Thanking Him. 
Then Confess and ask for Forgivness.
When God sees your not only interested in what He can give you,
He will bless you.
I GUARANTEE IT!!

Prayer week: Day 1 - Praise and Thankgiving.

If you had a "friend" who only spoke to you when he/she needed a favor, how would u feel?

Most of us...when we pray we tend to only ask for things.
"Dear Lord, I need this.  Help me with that. Bless me...."

We know that God is the creator of all things, and that nothing is impossible for Him...
so we take full advantage.. no consideration.
I'm pretty sure God doesnt always want to hear "gimme, gimme, gimme..."
He knows your heart and ALL your needs.
So, wouldn't it be good to just take time and give him praises and thanks?

Today...
Tell God how amazing He is to you.
Tell him how much you love Him, and how great He is.
Give him thanks for all he has done for you.

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually,

that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."
Hebrew 13:15

Praise and Thanksgiving- The act of expressing approval, admiration And gratitude, Especilly God. The offering of grateful homage in words, as an act of worship!

Make time for God...
Give him an offering of praise, and thank him for all the greatness he offers!

PRAYER WEEK BEGINS TOMORROW!

Be there!!

Prayer is a very important element  in our Spiritual lives.

Our prayer...

Your prayer on earth activates God's power in heaven,

and God's will is done on earth as it is in Heaven.

You can talk to God because God listens.   

No need to fear that you will be ignored.

Even if stammer or stumble, even if what you have to say impresses no one,

it impresses God and He listens...

Intently. 

Carefully. 

The prayers are honored as precious Jewels. 

Purified and empowered,

the words rise in delightful fragrance to our Lord...

Your prayers move God to change the world. 

You may not understand the mystery of prayer.

You don't need to. 

But this much is clear:

Actions in heaven begin when someone Prays on Earth. 

What an AMAZING thought!

Just remember that God DOES hear your prayers.

Even though you don't get an INSTANT response.

God will do his will at the RIGHT time.
